Who we are
ForestCheck is run by Alfred Duval, a sole trader in New Zealand. Contact: hello@forestcheck.nz.
What we collect
When you register interest: your email address, and if you choose to give them, your name, organisation, the kind of work you do and roughly how many properties a year you assess. That is all. This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Why
- To email you when ForestCheck opens.
- To understand who is interested, so the right things get built first. Answers are looked at in total, not used to profile you.
We will not sell your details or pass them to anyone to market to you.
Where it is kept
Your details are stored with Cloudflare, which hosts this website. Cloudflare may store data outside New Zealand. Only ForestCheck can read the list.
How long
Until ForestCheck opens and we have told you, or until you ask us to remove you, whichever comes first. If ForestCheck does not go ahead, the list is deleted.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask to see the information we hold about you, and ask for it to be corrected or deleted. Email hello@forestcheck.nz. If you are not happy with how we have handled it, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
When the paid service opens
Ordering a report will involve more — the property you screen, and payment through a payment provider. This notice will be updated before that happens.
